Defence Secretary Dan Jarvis<\/strong> has reportedly secured \u00a314.5 billion in new funding over four years following intense negotiations with Starmer and the Treasury over the long-stalled Defence Investment Plan, according to GB News<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The settlement represents just over half the \u00a328 billion military chiefs say is needed to close the Armed Forces spending gap. That funding shortfall triggered the resignation of former Defence Secretary John Healey<\/strong> on June 11.<\/p>\n
