\u201cCarrie Prejean was removed from the Religious Freedom Commission, and thank God,\u201d a former White House official from the Trump administration told Fox News Digital in response to her removal. \u201cThese commissions exist to advance the President\u2019s agenda, not to serve as a personal platform for hatred against Jews.\u201d

Prejean Boller was removed from the White House Religious Freedom Commission after, according to the commission\u2019s chairman, Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, she attempted to \u201chijack\u201d the hearing held Monday on antisemitism in the U.S. to promote \u201cher own personal and political agenda on whatever issue.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prejean Boller is the former Miss California USA 2009 titleholder, who was stripped of her crown over breach of contract allegations. She gained national attention in 2009 when, from the pageant stage, she expressed opposition to the legalization of same-sex marriage.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the time, Trump was the owner of the Miss Universe organization and defended Prejean Boller, who then appeared as Carrie Prejean.<\/p>\n

Trump established the commission for religious freedom in May by executive order, directing the Department of Justice to provide support to the newly formed body, which focuses on enforcing \u201cfederal laws that protect the full participation of all citizens in a pluralistic democracy and safeguard the freedom to exercise religion.\u201d<\/p>\n

The commission held a hearing Monday at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC, addressing antisemitism and defending religious freedom, where Prejean Boller wore a Palestinian flag pin and engaged in heated exchanges.<\/p>\n

Prejean Boller converted to Catholicism from evangelical Christianity in April and cited her Catholic faith in comments rejecting Zionism during the hearing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am Catholic, and Catholics do not embrace Zionism,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Catholic League president Bill Donohue quickly called for her removal in an opinion piece published on his organization\u2019s website, emphasizing that she does not represent Catholics with her comments.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cPrejean Boller is a former Miss California and a recent convert to Catholicism,\u201d he wrote Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe does not run a Catholic organization, has no Catholic credentials as a writer or educator, and indeed represents no one but herself. To say, without reservation, that \u2018Catholics do not embrace Zionism\u2019 is arbitrary and arrogant.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cZionism is a movement that promotes Jewish self-determination in a homeland,\u201d he continued. \u201cThere are millions of Catholics like me who, even if they do not identify as Zionists, recognize the Jewish state of Israel.<\/p>\n

Prejean Boller obviously does not \u2014 she feels more comfortable appearing on the Religious Freedom Commission wearing a Palestinian flag pin. Very revealing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shawn Carney, president and CEO of the pro-life movement 40 Days for Life, told Fox Digital that \u201cthe notion that Catholics are anti-Jewish is ridiculous.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis distinction is a recent fad and invention of the internet,\u201d Carney said. \u201cFor centuries, Catholics have understood that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Davidic kingdom and that our faith comes from the Jews.<\/p>\n

Catholic teaching says the Church is the fulfillment of the promises of the Old Testament. To suddenly claim that Catholics are against Jews is ridiculous \u2014 it is a modern error based on the internet.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that Trump has a very strong record of hiring and appointing Catholics in his administration, noting that \u201cno president in modern history has done more to protect religious freedom for both Catholics and Jews.\u201d<\/p>\n

At one point, Prejean Boller had a heated exchange with Shabbos Kestenbaum, a former Harvard student who sued the university over its response to antisemitism.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you willing to condemn what Israel<\/a> has done in Gaza?\u201d Prejean Boller asked Kestenbaum during the hearing. \u201cWon\u2019t you condemn it? Just for the record.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also defended Candace Owens when Babylon Bee founder and CEO Seth Dillon pressed her, asking if the commentator had ever made antisemitic remarks.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you think anything Candace said is antisemitic?\u201d she asked after calling Owens one of the \u201cmost famous antisemites\u201d in today\u2019s political landscape.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, I don\u2019t,\u201d Prejean Boller replied.<\/p>\n

The former White House official continued to Fox Digital that support for Israel has long been a priority for President Donald Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Donald Trump has stated for decades that he proudly stands with the Jewish people and America\u2019s closest ally, Israel,\u201d the former official said. \u201cSupport for Israel and alignment with Jewish Americans is not only morally right, it is America First.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Trump achieved historic victories for the Jewish people. He recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moved the U.S. embassy there. He recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights. He negotiated the Abraham Accords and reshaped the Middle East. He kept the promise to bring back every last hostage and made clear that antisemitism at home would be confronted head-on, including holding universities accountable when Jewish students are targeted.\u201d<\/p>\n

Conservatives and others on social media celebrated her removal while condemning her comments at the hearing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only person who mentioned Zionism at the event was\u2026 Carrie Prejean Boller,\u201d the Bonchie account posted<\/a>. \u201cClassic grifter move. She created the scene herself, claims victimhood, wins. A story as old as time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhatever you think of Carrie Prejean Boller\u2019s other views, wearing a Palestinian flag at a religious freedom hearing is shameful,\u201d posted Jim Hanson, president of the information warfare company WorldStrat and editor-in-chief of the Middle East Forum.<\/p>\n

Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz said that, although he does not know Prejean Boller personally, what he saw of her actions was \u201csimply sad.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are 57 Muslim countries on Earth; this poor soul has been convinced that the fact Israel exists \u2014 on the land given to the Jews thousands of years before Jehovah \u2014 is somehow the source of all her woes,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd no, Catholics do not hate Israel. As Charlie Kirk repeats, antisemitism is brain rot, and someone has poured that poison into her head.\u201d<\/p>\n

Patrick said he personally made the decision to remove her, while Prejean Boller responded on X that only the president could order her removal.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cYou did not appoint me to the Commission, and you have no authority to remove me from it,\u201d Prejean Boller wrote on X in response to Patrick.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a blatant overreach of your role and leads me to believe you are acting in alignment with a Zionist political framework that hijacks the hearing instead of defending religious freedom.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cruz replied on X: \u201cLet\u2019s be clear: President Trump fired her.\u201d The former Miss California continues to stand by her statements, saying she \u201cwill never bow to the state of Israel. Never.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cChristians have been manipulated into believing that God blesses bombings, starvation, and mass extermination,\u201d Prejean posted on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the opposite of Christ, who came to stand with the weak and oppose power. I completely reject this lie. I belong to no money, sponsors, or access. I belong only to Christ who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. I would rather die than bow to Israel.\u201d<\/p>\n
