Booker\u2019s crown was removed just days after her appearance in November at the Official Strongman Games World Championship in Arlington, Texas, when organizers revealed that she was assigned male at birth, following the circulation among competitors of explicit images from her past as an adult film actress.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, can anyone actually show me which rule I broke?\u201d Booker wrote in an Instagram Story post. \u201cI\u2019m told again and again that I violated a \u2018clearly stated policy,\u2019 but no organization has been able to show me that policy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cStrongman corp. IFBB. IPF. Powerlifting USA. The IOC. USS Strongman,\u201d she added in a second post. \u201cThey all have policies on transgender participation as reference.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Booker\u2019s disqualification, organizers stated that the rules specify athletes must compete in the category corresponding to their biological sex at birth.<\/p>\n

The runner-up, Andrea Thompson, who called Booker\u2019s title \u201cbulls\u2013t\u201d as she stormed off the podium, was declared the winner, with Strongman officials saying they were investigating Booker\u2019s participation.<\/p>\n

\u201cHad we known, or if this had been disclosed at any point before or during the competition, this athlete would not have been allowed to compete in the Women\u2019s Open category,\u201d<\/strong> the organizers said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Other competitors, according to reports, were unaware of the biological sex assigned at birth.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cTrans women, people who were assigned male at birth, should not be competing in the women\u2019s category,\u201d said champion Rebecca Roberts in a statement prior to Booker\u2019s title being revoked.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat happened this weekend lacked transparency. None of us knew. Neither did the organizers. And when justice is caught off guard, trust in the sport begins to crack.\u201d<\/p>\n
