However, last year\u2019s figures dropped to 20 million, with the decline steadily worsening over the past decade.<\/p>\n<p>Californians\u2019 attitude toward Hollywood is proving to be increasingly cautious.<\/p>\n<p>A recent poll from the UC Berkeley Citrin Center for Public Opinion Research-POLITICO showed that 48% of Californians believe the industry has excessive political influence in the state, while only 29% view it positively.<\/p>\n<p>The division is even sharper when results are analyzed by party affiliation.
