His notes contained phrases such as &#8220;Trump is a total con artist \u2014 smoke &#038; mirrors&#8221; and &#8220;Never had money,&#8221; the outlet reports.<\/p>\n<p>The disgraced financier&#8217;s writings also included complaints about his treatment as a wealthy &#8220;Pedophile in jail,&#8221; claiming he was being denied telephone privileges and visitor access.<\/p>\n<p>Epstein documented his frustrations about the impossibility of preparing an adequate defense amid the relentless noise from the Special Housing Unit at the now-closed Metropolitan Correctional Center where he was held.<\/p>\n<p>In his notes, Epstein alleged that correctional officers would have ignored any physical assault against him. He claimed guards told his cellmate, <strong>Nicholas Tartaglione<\/strong>, a convicted murderer and former New York police officer, that if Tartaglione attacked him, no official report would be filed.<\/p>\n<p>Epstein was discovered deceased in his cell on August 19, 2019.
