In their statement, the attackers cited recent comments by Tim H\u00f6ttges<\/strong>, the CEO of Deutsche Telekom, who had identified the defense industry as an attractive business sector the company intends to pursue. The extremists specifically referenced Telekom’s plans to collaborate with Rheinmetall on developing a drone defense system as justification for their criminal action. The anonymous group stated they wanted to attack such plans.<\/p>\n

The arsonists also expressed solidarity with Palestine Action Germany, another left-wing extremist organization that conducted a sabotage operation against Israeli defense contractor Elbit Systems in Ulm in September 2025. This connection demonstrates the international coordination among radical leftist cells targeting defense and technology companies.<\/p>\n
