According to The European Conservative<\/em>, the attack has prompted questions about how the assailant managed to travel from Paris through Dublin Airport security without a visa before being granted asylum in Ireland. The case bears disturbing similarities to the 2023 stabbing spree by Algerian national Riad Bouchaker<\/strong>, who attacked a group of young girls in central Dublin, leaving one child paralyzed, non-verbal, and permanently brain-damaged.<\/p>\n

Bouchaker’s trial was underway when the Belfast attack occurred. While he does not deny responsibility for the stabbings, he claims diminished mental capacity after being denied social welfare benefits he believed he was entitled to receive.<\/p>\n

Political Class Obsessed With Gaza While Immigration System Fails<\/h2>\n

Rather than addressing the consequences of what has become an effectively uncontrolled immigration system, Ireland’s political classes remain fixated on events in Gaza over which they have no influence or control. This disconnect has deepened as working-class communities across the Republic experience unsought demographic changes imposed without consultation.<\/p>\n

The silence on immigration issues stems partly from the extraordinary influence of non-governmental organizations that, despite their designation, operate as government-subsidized instruments for shaping public opinion. These quasi-autonomous non-governmental organizations, or QUANGOs, have historically exercised profound control over media narratives, effectively shutting down open discussion on immigration, housing shortages, healthcare system failures, homelessness, and race.<\/p>\n

Any citizen expressions of concern are immediately branded as racist or far-right by government-subsidized media outlets. Irish media figures have gone so far as to invoke the Ku Klux Klan, an organization effectively defunct in the United States, in their attempts to delegitimize legitimate grievances about community transformation.<\/p>\n

Sinn Fein Joins Denunciation Campaign<\/h2>\n

Sinn Fein<\/strong>, the political wing of the IRA responsible for sixty percent of all murders during the Irish Troubles between 1970 and 2003, has joined the chorus denouncing working-class concerns as extremism. The party continues to publicly proclaim pride in IRA atrocities while simultaneously condemning Protestant violence in Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n

In Northern Ireland itself, comparable delusions have produced toxic results, including attacks on homes of law-abiding and economically productive immigrants by individuals who contribute far less to their communities than those they target.<\/p>\n

EU Presidency Looms as Dublin Stays Silent<\/h2>\n

Ireland assumes the presidency of the Council of the European Union next month, a role in which the Republic prides itself on being good Europeans in contrast to what Irish elites view as the problematic British. The country already enjoys special derogation from common EU corporation tax laws, enabling it to become a major hub for American industry.<\/p>\n

Dublin cannot now demand tightening of EU asylum-seeker laws without jeopardizing its reputation as Europe’s cooperative Anglophone nation, which likely explains the government’s remarkable silence over the attempted murder by a man who had no legal right to be in Ireland yet passed freely through its main airport.<\/p>\n

As The European Conservative<\/em> notes, every EU country now recognizes this as an issue that will not disappear. The union remains politically and socially incapable of admitting, let alone assimilating, the millions of people from Africa and northwest Asia seeking access to European economic benefits and generous welfare systems.<\/p>\n

Ireland has operated perhaps the most permissive immigration regime within the EU, largely due to the political and cultural dominance of NGOs that have become too deeply entrenched and politically powerful to be dissolved by government action alone.<\/p>\n
