The President insisted the emerging pact would categorically prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, though Tehran has consistently denied ever pursuing such capabilities.<\/p>\n

Cease-Fire Fragile After Weekend Strikes<\/h2>\n

Trump’s upbeat assessment stood in sharp contrast to events unfolding on the ground. Just one day earlier, Iran and Israel had exchanged missile fire for the first time since a tentative cease-fire took effect in early April, raising the specter of a broader regional conflict.<\/p>\n
