The Biden administration&#8217;s policies, he argued, drove down working-class wages, overwhelmed social services, education and healthcare systems, and fundamentally altered the nation&#8217;s cultural fabric.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GOPoversight\/status\/2064344044709253262\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The Texas congressman focused particular attention on Biden&#8217;s aggressive expansion of Temporary Protected Status, a program that permits foreign nationals to remain in the United States regardless of legal immigration status if their home countries face designated crises such as war or natural disaster.<\/p>\n<p>The program was designed as a short-term humanitarian response, Gill noted, yet the Biden administration transformed it into a backdoor amnesty mechanism covering more than a million people who entered the country illegally.<\/p>\n<p>The statistics reveal a dramatic escalation. When Biden assumed office in January 2021, approximately 410,000 foreign nationals held TPS status. By the time he departed in January 2025, that figure had surged beyond one million\u2014a more than 140 percent increase in just four years.<\/p>\n<p>Gill detailed the countries designated for TPS protection during Biden&#8217;s tenure: Burma in 2021, Ukraine in 2022, Afghanistan in 2022, Cameroon in 2022, Ethiopia in 2022, Venezuela in 2021 and again in 2023, Haiti in 2024, and Lebanon in 2024.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"rumble\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/rumble.com\/embed\/v705ypc\/?pub=he97b\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Perhaps most striking, approximately half of all current TPS beneficiaries did not even reside in the United States until after Biden took office. The program effectively provided legal cover for the millions of illegal border crossers Americans witnessed flooding across the southern border during Biden&#8217;s term\u2014the same crisis that propelled President <strong>Donald Trump<\/strong> back to the White House on a deportation mandate, Gill emphasized.<\/p>\n<p>The vast majority of TPS holders entered the country illegally, the congressman stressed.
