President Donald Trump launched a blistering attack on a federal judge whose wife represents Joe Biden, after the jurist blocked his administration’s plan to rename the Kennedy Center and ordered Trump’s name stripped from the building within two weeks.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to New York Post<\/em>, US District Court Judge Christopher Cooper<\/strong> ruled Friday that Congress alone holds the authority to change the Kennedy Center’s designation, forcing the administration to remove Trump branding from the venue’s facade. The Obama-appointed judge also blocked plans to shutter the arts facility for a planned two-year renovation.<\/p>\n

In a lengthy Truth Social response Saturday, Trump challenged the ruling and highlighted what he characterized as a conflict of interest. The president noted that Cooper’s wife, Amy Jeffress<\/strong>, currently serves as Biden’s personal attorney in ongoing legal matters.<\/p>\n

Trump described Cooper as a Trump Hating Judge<\/em> and characterized the decision as obstructing needed repairs to a building he said contains marble in terrible condition and faces potential structural collapse.<\/p>\n

Biden Attorney Connection Raises Questions<\/h2>\n

Jeffress is representing the former president in his effort to prevent release of audio recordings from his deposition during former special counsel Robert Hur’s<\/strong> classified documents investigation, as New York Post<\/em> reports. The recordings captured Biden’s interview following the probe into his mishandling of sensitive government materials.<\/p>\n

Trump also pointed to Jeffress’s previous work for the Democrat-led House January 6 committee and her representation of fired FBI employee Lisa Page<\/strong>, whom the president labeled a corrupt official.<\/p>\n

Renovation Plans Interrupted<\/h2>\n

The administration had ordered millions of dollars in materials including marble, furniture, steel and climate control systems for what Trump described as a comprehensive restoration of the deteriorating facility. Cooper’s ruling allows closure only if the Kennedy Center’s board formally convenes and evaluates the evidence supporting renovation necessity.<\/p>\n

The Kennedy Center announced it would challenge the judicial decision. Trump suggested he may pursue permanent closure of the venue, which Congress designated as a living memorial to President John F. Kennedy.<\/p>\n
