Shocking video! The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) released footage showing the seizure of two ships in the Strait of Hormuz.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to Iranian authorities, the vessels attempted to pass through the maritime area without authorization and violated navigation rules,<\/strong> endangering the safety of navigation.<\/p>\n

One of the ships is the Greek-owned Epaminondas<\/strong>, managed by Technomar Shipping.<\/strong> The second is the MSC Francesca<\/strong> flying the Panamanian flag. In the released footage, armed IRGC personnel wearing masks approach in fast boats and climb onto the decks to take control. No injuries were reported, and there was no pollution leakage.<\/p>\n

Technomar<\/strong> confirmed the incident. According to their statement, the Epaminondas was approached by a manned fast boat around 06:50 local time, about 20 nautical miles off the coast of Oman, while transiting the Strait. The crew remains safe and is in contact with the relevant authorities.<\/p>\n

Panama described the seizure of the MSC Francesca as illegal. The White House, meanwhile, does not consider the incident a violation of the current ceasefire, since the ships are not American-owned.<\/p>\n

Show of force at a critical moment<\/h2>\n

The video comes at a time of heightened tension in the region. The Strait of Hormuz is a strategic chokepoint, with about 20% of the world\u2019s oil and liquefied natural gas passing through it during peacetime.<\/p>\n

The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, stated on Wednesday, April 22, that the Strait\u2019s reopening is \u201cimpossible\u201d as long as the ceasefire violations by the United States and Israel continue.<\/p>\n

In a post on X, Ghalibaf emphasized that the U.S. and Israel have failed to achieve their objectives neither through military action nor intimidation. The Iranian Tasnim news agency reported that the two ships were accused of attempting a \u201ccovert exit\u201d from the Strait and that one of them is linked to the \u201cZionist regime.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the operation, the Revolutionary Guards stated that both vessels are heading toward the Iranian coast and remain under their control. This marks the first such seizure since the start of recent clashes in late February.<\/p>\n

The incident occurs as oil prices have skyrocketed and global shipping faces serious disruptions. The developments are being closely monitored by shipping companies and international authorities, as the region remains highly sensitive.<\/p>\n
