Missiles and Drone Strike against UAE \u2013 Interception and Fire at Oil Facility<\/h2>\n

Iran launched four cruise missiles and at least one drone against the United Arab Emirates in an action that appears to breach the ceasefire agreement.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the UAE Ministry of Defense, air defense forces intercepted three missiles over territorial waters, while the fourth fell into the sea. However, one drone managed to strike an industrial oil facility in Fujairah<\/strong>, causing a large fire.<\/p>\n

Fujairah is the UAE\u2019s only major port on the Gulf of Oman that can be accessed without passing through the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has blocked. Earlier in the afternoon, UAE authorities had instructed residents to move to shelters.<\/p>\n

The Fujairah Press Office confirmed the outbreak of a large fire at the emirate\u2019s oil facilities following the drone attack.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported an incident involving a cargo ship approximately 36 nautical miles north of Dubai. The ship experienced a fire in its engine room, cause unknown, but all crew members are safe.<\/p>\n
