According to New York Post<\/em>, El-Sayed’s connections extend directly into his own family. His mother, Fatten Fathy Elkomy<\/strong>, previously worked for the Islamic American Relief Agency, an organization designated by the Treasury Department as a terror-linked entity allegedly involved in funding Osama bin Laden while supporting Hamas and the Taliban.<\/p>\n

The media and Democratic leadership have remained conspicuously silent on these revelations, New York Post<\/em> reports.<\/p>\n

Family Ties to Radicalism<\/h2>\n

El-Sayed’s sister, Eman Abdelhadi<\/strong>, is a far-left academic who faced felony charges for assaulting an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer. She has publicly criticized Senator Bernie Sanders for describing Hamas’s October 7, 2023 terror attacks as horrifying, instead celebrating that date while condemning American holidays including Independence Day and Thanksgiving. In one social media post, she wrote dismissively about celebrating what she called the transfer of stolen land between colonizers.<\/p>\n

The contrast with how Republican candidates would be treated under similar circumstances is stark. Yet El-Sayed’s problematic associations extend well beyond his immediate family.<\/p>\n

Scheduled Appearance With Extremist Speakers<\/h2>\n

This Labor Day weekend, El-Sayed is scheduled to address the Islamic Society of North America’s annual gathering. As the Washington Free Beacon uncovered, the speaker lineup includes Yasir Qadhi<\/strong>, a Texas-based imam who has dismissed the Holocaust as a hoax, and Michigan imam Baqir Berry<\/strong>, who has preached support for a mighty victory by mujahideen forces over what he terms the evil of Zionists.<\/p>\n

Event organizers did cancel Tariq Masood<\/strong>, a Pakistani cleric advocating child marriage and the killing of those who blaspheme Islam, but only after the Beacon’s reporting drew attention to his participation.<\/p>\n

Radical Policy Positions and Terror Apologism<\/h2>\n

El-Sayed maintains connections with radical podcaster Hasan Piker<\/strong>, another Israel-hating figure who has expressed support for the September 11 attacks, yet who receives a warm welcome within Democratic circles.<\/p>\n

The candidate himself has advocated eliminating Second Amendment protections, defunding police departments, and ending Independence Day fireworks celebrations. When a Muslim terrorist in Michigan attempted to massacre Jewish schoolchildren, El-Sayed responded by blaming Israel’s conflict with Hezbollah rather than condemning the attacker.<\/p>\n

Despite this record, establishment outlets like the New York Times have dismissed concerns as mere Islamophobia, New York Post<\/em> notes. Democratic leaders continue attacking the mainstream, pro-Israel lobbying group AIPAC while ignoring the influence of overseas Muslim funding in American politics.<\/p>\n

November Showdown<\/h2>\n

El-Sayed faces Republican Mike Rogers<\/strong> in November, and many Democratic voters, including Jewish constituents rightfully alarmed by his antisemitic rhetoric, have already indicated they will not support him. Rogers represents a moderate Republican alternative difficult to paint as a Trump surrogate, particularly given Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s<\/strong> own complicated relationship with the former president.<\/p>\n

A Rogers victory would not only help Republicans maintain Senate control but might finally force Democratic leadership to openly reject the extremism they have thus far chosen to ignore. Michigan voters will have the opportunity to decide whether such radical associations deserve representation in the United States Senate.<\/p>\n
