Hallervorden has escalated his rhetoric significantly in the campaign period. In another video, he claimed the AfD was dangerous as a firestorm<\/em> to democracy, adding that democracy is “far too important a matter to leave to the AfD.” Notably, the comedian provided no substantiation for these accusations.<\/p>\n

The entertainment figure has actively campaigned in recent weeks to prevent an AfD-led government following the state election scheduled for September 6 in Saxony-Anhalt. The most recent polling shows the AfD reaching a record 43 percent support in the state.<\/p>\n

Sven Schulze<\/strong>, the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) Minister-President of Saxony-Anhalt, has given Hallervorden a platform during the campaign, touring the state with the comedian. Hallervorden used these appearances not only to attack the AfD but also to perform a song about “War Minister” Pistorius and to spread what Nius<\/em> characterizes as genocide lies about Israel.<\/p>\n
