Oleh Hryhorov<\/strong>, the regional head of Sumy, confirmed that the drone hit a civilian facility in the northeastern region, sparking a major fire. The victims were identified as drivers working for Nova Poshta, a private Ukrainian postal and courier company.<\/p>\n

In southeastern Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, another Russian drone attack struck a shopping center on Friday night. Regional head Ivan Fedorov<\/strong> reported that the resulting blaze spread across approximately 500 square meters, causing multiple injuries.<\/p>\n

Friday also saw a devastating Russian strike near Kyiv targeting a location where a defense industry gathering was taking place. That attack killed at least 10 people and left nearly 100 wounded.<\/p>\n

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky<\/strong> issued a stark warning in his Friday evening address, stating that intelligence assessments suggest Russia is preparing missiles for a significant assault on Ukraine. He indicated the attack could materialize within the next 48 hours.<\/p>\n

Romanian Airspace Violations Continue<\/h2>\n

Romania’s defense ministry announced Saturday that its forces successfully intercepted and destroyed a drone that breached the country’s airspace in an unpopulated zone near the Ukrainian border.<\/p>\n

Romanian President Nicu\u0219or Dan<\/strong> wrote on Facebook that the drone was neutralized by a Romanian pilot flying an F-16 aircraft.<\/p>\n

The interception followed another drone shootdown on Friday near Padina, located northeast of the Romanian capital Bucharest.<\/p>\n

Since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Romania and other NATO member states have experienced numerous drone incursions originating from both Russian and Ukrainian operations.<\/p>\n

In June, a Ukrainian maritime drone involved in combat operations detonated at the Black Sea port of Constanta. Three additional sea drones exploded outside the port facility, though no casualties were reported.<\/p>\n

The previous month, a Russian drone participating in strikes against Ukraine veered off course and hit an apartment building in eastern Romania, injuring two residents.<\/p>\n
