Parmeet Khurana<\/strong> was sentenced to nine years imprisonment in 2022 after raping a 17-year-old victim in 2021 and perverting the course of justice, according to Susanna Siddell<\/strong> writing in GB News<\/em>. He had previously lived in Austria before entering the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

British authorities are now engaged in a protracted dispute with Austrian officials over the deportation of the sex offender. Despite Labour assurances to the victim that removing her attacker from the UK was being treated as their highest priority<\/em>, those promises appear to have come to nothing.<\/p>\n

The victim’s mother expressed outrage at the prospect of her daughter’s rapist being released onto British streets prematurely. She condemned the decision as sending a message to victims that they are unimportant and that their lifelong trauma does not matter.<\/p>\n

The mother warned that the early release scheme allows potentially dangerous offenders back into communities before they should be freed, calling it a travesty of justice. She emphasized the difficulty of securing convictions in rape cases, making the early release of guilty perpetrators particularly galling.<\/p>\n

Dame Angela Eagle<\/strong> sent correspondence to the victim’s family in 2025 pledging that the Home Office was working to deport the attacker.<\/p>\n

Labour’s Release Scheme Under Fire<\/h2>\n

Current legislation permits rapists to be considered for release after serving two-thirds of their sentence. However, Labour is advancing new legislation that would allow sex offenders, including paedophiles, to be released even earlier.<\/p>\n

The case highlights growing concerns about public safety as up to 6,000 criminals convicted of serious offences including manslaughter, rape and sexual assault could be freed early under Labour’s prison release programme.<\/p>\n

The scheme has drawn sharp criticism from victims’ advocates who argue that early release provisions prioritize administrative convenience over public protection and justice for victims of violent and sexual crimes.<\/p>\n
