The woman experienced moments of terror when the perpetrator approached her, began to fondle her, and attempted to carry out a sexual assault. However, she resisted forcefully and did not allow him to complete the act.

Police officers from the Immediate Action Unit arrived almost immediately at the scene and arrested him on the spot. He was charged with attempted rape.

It was revealed that the 27-year-old Palestinian did not have legal residency documents in Greece. The “L&O” managed to obtain and publish a photo of the perpetrator.

The case once again highlights security issues in areas where people reside without the necessary legalization documents. The woman was not seriously injured, but the psychological impact of the attack was severe. The authorities continue their preliminary investigation.
