Two Foreigners Arrested in Marousi for Selling Counterfeit Goods
Two foreign nationals were arrested near Neratziotissa station for selling counterfeit goods, leading to a police seizure of numerous fake bags, wallets, belts, and hats in Marousi.
Two foreigners were arrested at the ISAP Nerantziotissa station for selling counterfeit products, according to Law&Order. The detainees, aged 54 and 46, were identified by officers of the Anti-Illegal Trade Team during inspections in the Marousi area. The officers confirmed that the suspects were offering products that closely resembled genuine items, leading to their arrest.
At present, a case file has been filed against them by the Department for the Investigation and Resolution of Crimes of Marousi. The charges brought against them include forgery, violation of trademark legislation, unfair competition, as well as breaches of the Market Code and laws governing open-air commerce.
As part of the operation, police conducted a check on the illegal activity, uncovering a large quantity of counterfeit products. In total, 74 bags, 32 wallets, 34 belts, and 6 hats were confiscated, providing a clear picture of the scale of illegal trade in the area. The case file has already been submitted to the competent Public Prosecutor.
