Handcuffed Foreigner with Outstanding Arrest Warrant in Thesprotia for Bribery of an Official

On October 3, 2026, police in Sagiada, Greece arrested a foreign national with a pending arrest warrant for bribing a public official, promptly handing him over to local prosecutors.

In Syvota, Thesprotia, police officers from the Filiates Police Department arrested a foreign national on the afternoon of October 3, 2026, who faces serious charges. According to Law&Order, there was an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Thesprotia Court of First Instance Investigative Judge against him for the offense of “bribery of a public official.”

The detainee was immediately taken to the Thesprotia Prosecutor’s Office for the necessary procedures.
