Nigerian Arrested in Thessaloniki with Large Amount of Drugs

In Thessaloniki, police arrested a 50-year-old Nigerian man on drug trafficking charges, discovering over a kilo of cannabis, cocaine, cash, and a precision scale during a search of his home.

Last night, officers from the Crime Suppression and Investigation Sub-Directorate of Katerini located the detainee in the center of Thessaloniki. Packages containing raw cannabis with a total weight of 36.3 grams were found in his possession.

According to information from the Hellenic Police (ELAS), during the search of his residence, officers discovered additional narcotics. Specifically, they found:

Packages of raw cannabis weighing a total of 1 kilo and 229.7 grams.
Packages of cocaine weighing a total of 134.5 grams.
An electronic precision scale.
A cash amount of 690 euros.

The 50-year-old will face the charges against him and will be brought before the Thessaloniki Court of First Instance Prosecutor.
