A 39-year-old German national asked the men to stop. Instead of complying, several from the group turned against him and repeatedly struck him. The man suffered multiple fractures to his face.

He continued his journey despite the pain

After the attack, the 39-year-old got off at Treptower Park station. He only called the authorities when he arrived home. He was later taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Federal Police (Bundespolizei) have launched an investigation into dangerous bodily harm. Officers have obtained video footage from the train and are seeking both the perpetrators and the two young women as witnesses.

The case remains open, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward.
