A man armed with a knife robbed an elderly individual of €4,000 in Gournas, Heraklion, sparking community fear as police intensify efforts to identify and apprehend the suspect.
A serious robbery incident caused concern in the local community of Gournes in Heraklion on Wednesday (April 15), according to Law&Order. A driver approached an elderly man, threatened him with a knife, and took 4,000 euros from him, creating an atmosphere of terror.
Under the pressure of the threat, the elderly man had no choice but to hand over the money to the perpetrator, who is reportedly a foreign national.
The Hellenic Police have conducted thorough investigations in the area. The EL.AS. forces are carrying out checks and searches to identify and apprehend the robber, aiming to restore security in the community.
