Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, confirmed the fatalities on social media Monday afternoon, as UNN.UA reports. The strike targeted a civilian neighborhood in what local officials describe as the latest wave of deliberate terror tactics by Russian forces.

Fedorov stated that all wounded victims are receiving medical care. Earlier reports had indicated more than 10 injuries, but that number climbed to 15 as emergency responders continued their work at the scene.

Minibus Struck in Separate Attack

The deadly residential strike was not an isolated incident. Earlier the same day, Fedorov reported that Russian forces launched another drone attack on a shuttle minibus operating in the city. At least one person was injured when the civilian vehicle sustained significant damage from the strike.

The escalation marks a continuation of what Ukrainian officials characterize as sustained drone terror against Zaporizhzhia, a major regional center that remains under Ukrainian control despite ongoing Russian occupation of large portions of the surrounding oblast.

Regional Toll Mounts

According to Fedorov’s earlier briefing, the previous 24-hour period saw five people killed and another 14 wounded across Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding district due to Russian attacks. During that same timeframe, occupying forces launched 949 separate strikes targeting 51 settlements throughout the Zaporizhzhia region.

The attacks on civilian infrastructure and transport illustrate Moscow’s ongoing strategy of targeting non-military areas in Ukrainian-controlled territory, a pattern documented throughout the conflict by international observers and human rights organizations.
