Speaking with host Kristen Welker on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Trump addressed questions about the future of the controversial fund after his acting Attorney General Todd Blanche had suggested it might not move forward, according to Breitbart News.

When asked whether he was abandoning the initiative entirely or seeking alternative ways to implement it, the president offered a forceful explanation of the fund’s purpose and the harm he believes was inflicted on Americans during the previous administration.

Trump described how individuals targeted by what he called the Biden administration’s weaponization of government agencies have suffered devastating personal consequences. He cited job losses, destroyed families, broken marriages, and even suicides among those caught up in politically motivated investigations.

The president pointed to the raid on his Mar-a-Lago residence as an example of the aggressive tactics employed, while emphasizing that countless other Americans faced similar or worse treatment without the public platform or resources to defend themselves.

People have been destroyed. Lives have been destroyed, Trump stated, highlighting the human cost of what he views as partisan abuse of federal law enforcement and investigative powers.

When pressed on whether he would seek to revive the fund through alternative channels, Trump made clear his personal support for the concept, saying he would personally prefer to pay victims the compensation they deserve for what they have endured.

The anti-weaponization fund represents one of several Trump administration efforts aimed at addressing what conservative lawmakers and activists have long characterized as the politicization of federal agencies under Democratic leadership.
